Dear friend,

INTRODUCTION
There is no alternate way to pleasing God except by this
way; the way of faith. This is how important faith is.

Why another book on faith when there are many
already?
Yes, many have spoken and written on faith already
but too many have narrowed the meaning of faith to
just asking and receiving thereby over-simplifying it
and ignoring the requirements and responsibilities of
walking with God to the detriment of the unsuspecting
Christian, even the clergy and the global church.

Faith is so crucial that the need for walking by faith
will never expire. There is no time limit beyond
which faith or the need and the call to live and walk
by faith would become irrelevant to God and or to
man. The need for faith in God is an eternal need, and
the call to live and walk by faith has an everlasting
lifespan, it cannot be obsolete, the relevance of faith
in God cannot come to an end. So there is the need
to understand faith better so we can walk in it and
please the Living God.

My assignment here is to lay bare the secrets of how
to walk by faith, secrets many Christians have not
discerned and may never discover on their own
in their attempt to walk with God. I write on faith
because when the Lord called me, He told me He has
given me the gift of faith which He specifically and
graphically described to me as stubborn faith.

Initially, I had no idea at all about what He meant by stubborn
faith. Honestly, until then, I had never even heard
about the phrase stubborn faith. Is that not interesting?
But He soon began to teach me and open the eyes of
my understanding into this all-important subject of
faith. And the Lord added that my calling and relationship
with Him is based on something more powerful than
a promise; it is based on a covenant. He told me it was
in my mother’s womb that He placed His mark on
me and called me for this work. And I exclaimed, my
mother’s womb must be a blessed womb!
Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, King Solomon and his father
King David all walked with God by covenant. And
that covenant was eventually fulfilled in Jesus Christ.
Therefore, every Christian must know that we are all
products of covenant (Genesis 17:7).

Unfortunately, there are too many in the church today who are trying
to follow Jesus Christ from afar, without a personal
relationship, let alone a covenant one. If you are not
closely connected to Christ Who is the very reason of being
(raison d’etre) of Christianity, no matter how close you
may be to the church and or to your pastor, they cannot
help you, and you will miss Him.
This is how powerful a covenant is; a covenant is more
powerful and binding than a promise just as we have
in physical, legal, marital, and business sense today.
The power of covenant cuts across realms. In other
words, a covenant is recognized and enforceable in
both the physical and spiritual realms.

HOW CAN MAN/WOMAN INITIATE A
COVENANT WITH GOD?
One truth about covenants is that it is not only God
that can enter into or initiate a covenant with man. For,
throughout the scriptures, men and women like you
and I, have also covenanted with God Almighty and
drew God’s attention to themselves. God respected
and upheld those covenants.
Fact is God is moved by covenants.
Remember God Almighty is also known as the God
who keeps covenants. In other words, He is the
covenant keeping God.
Examples of mortal men bringing God Almighty into
covenants;
Jacob covenanted with God and Hannah also did the
same. Note that a covenant is a vow, so when you
vow to the Lord, you are covenanting with Him and
you will easily attract His attention. But it is a must to
keep our part of our vows, because God always does.
I). HOW JACOB COVENANTED WITH GOD
This is Jacob’s vow, his covenant with God when he
was in trouble and fleeing the face of his brother Esau,
‘And Jacob rose up early in the morning, and put the
stone that he had put for his pillows, and set it up for
a pillar, and poured oil upon the top of it,. And he
called the name of that place Beth-el: but the name
of the city was called Luz at first. And Jacob vowed a
vow, saying, if God will be with me, and will keep me
in this way that I go, and will give me bread to eat and
raiment to put on, So that I come again to my father’s
house in peace; then shall the Lord be my God: And
this stone, which I have set for a pillar, shall be God’s
house: and of all that thou shalt give me, I will surely
give the tenth unto thee’ (Genesis 28:18-22).

And in Genesis 35:6-7, Jacob fulfilled or redeemed his
vow with God because the Lord had respected and
delivered on His part of the covenant, ‘So Jacob came
to Luz which is in the land of Canaan, that is, Beth-el,
he and all the people that were with him. And he built
there an altar, and called the place El-beth-el; because
there God appeared unto him, when he fled the face
of his brother [Esau] (Genesis 35:6-7 emphasis mine).
This is what he said earlier in verse 3, “And let us
arise and go to Beth-el; and I will make there an altar
unto God, who answered me in my distress, and was
with me in the way which I went. Verse 5, And they
journeyed: and the terror of God was upon the cities
that were round about them, and they did not pursue
after the sons of Jacob’.

So clearly, God upheld Jacob’s covenant with Him.

II). HOW HANNAH COVENANTED WITH GOD
How about Hannah’s vow to God concerning her
prayer for a son? In 1 Samuel 1: 10-11, in the bitterness
of her soul, she made a covenant. ‘And she was in
the bitterness of soul, and prayed unto the Lord, and
wept sore. And she vowed a vow, and said, O Lord of
hosts, if thou wilt indeed look upon the affliction of
thy handmaid, and remember me, and not forget thy
handmaid, but wilt give unto they handmaid a man
child, then I will give him unto the Lord all the days of
his life, and there shall no razor come upon his head’.
Once more, the Lord respected and delivered on His
part of this covenant, therefore in 1 Samuel 1: 24-28,
she also redeemed her vow by giving Samuel unto
Eli the prophet to abide with him and minister in the
house of the Lord all his days.

Having shown this real life examples, the lesson is
this, it is clear that you and I also, can easily covenant
with the Living Lord on any matter that is dear to
us. And He will honour Himself again anytime as
the God that is still in the business of ‘…keeping
covenants…’ (2 Chronicles 6:14). So before you
drop this book, you have the divine opportunity to
covenant with God to walk by faith. God will honour
this covenant and deliver on His part. Just as He did to
Jacob and Hannah, so will He do to you also.

I, Albert Etornam Dogbe walk in covenant with the Lord Jesus.
Christianity itself is a covenant walk with Christ.
And He taught me and continues to teach me how
to walk by faith and many more deep truths in the
kingdom by the ministry of the Holy Spirit. So I write
and teach on faith as a 21st century disciple and apostle
of Jesus Christ with the gift of stubborn faith. These
insights are based on the illumination I received from
my close range and covenant relationship with Christ.

Of a truth, these insights have changed my Christian
life from inside out so I have no doubt what these
keys will do to you when you adopt them.
One great benefit of this covenant walk with Christ?
This is what the psalmist is describing here, ‘He
made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the
children of Israel’ (Psalms 103:7). The ways of God
are the secrets of God, the covenant of God, what is
on the heart and the mind of God. And these were
revealed to Moses, but only His acts (the outward
manifestations of His power) were made known unto
the children of Israel.

As I share these secrets with the global church in
general, and the clergy and especially with you in
particular, by God’s special grace I impart extra dose
of faith to you in the name of the Lord! Indeed this is the
singular essence of this book; to impart the gift of faith
to you and the church, and to usher you into a covenant
walk of faith which will make you more fruitful in your
walk with Christ Jesus. And the clergy also will do a
better job teaching faith as it should be. The overall
effect will be that the church, the bride of Christ will be
better for it, and contributing to making it ready, more
glorious, without spot and wrinkle, all in preparation
for the second coming of her Groom, Jesus Christ.

Apostle Paul clearly documented this overall goal of
Christ concerning His church, ‘That he might present
it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or
wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy
and without blemish’ (Ephesians 5:27). The realization
of this vision is impossible without a church with solid
understanding and grounding in the walk of faith; I
mean a covenant walk with Christ.

I want to admit that I have personally heard and read
the Bible from a distant from Christ for many years
without these insights, but since He moved me into
a close covenant relationship with Him, I began to
receive illumination and discernment of some deep
truths of the kingdom and I share them to bless you.

What these secrets on faith have done for me is that
they have given me a life devoid of fear, anxiety, worry
and praying amiss. And when I call heaven, I hear God’s
response. I pray for you in the name of the Lord Jesus
Christ that may the same transformation kick start in
your life by the time you finish absorbing these keys.

To conclude, this book shows you the deep, broad
meaning of faith and what it takes to walk by faith.
It also lay bare how to demonstrate your faith. Also,
it explains the great exploits men and women have
accomplished through faith. Exploits which are still
possible today by faith. It also discusses why, how
and when to walk by faith. Added to these, it explains
what the blessings of Abraham are and describes how
you can also tap into it. Then comes the illustration of
the twenty one powerful and life changing secrets of
how to walk by faith which have changed my walk
with God and no doubt, will impact you also.

And finally, this book also offers you the divinely

Why I welcome myself back? See.

Dear friend,

After a long break since January 10, 2017 I welcome myself back to my cherished garden/blog. This new life as a disciple of Jesus Christ actually took me off writing for sometime. But I believe the Lord has brought me back and I shall be writing more. And I hope you would be reading them and reacting. I love feed backs.

I also thank the Lord Jesus for keeping you and preserving you up till this day. I know that no man can keep his own soul alive (Psalm 22:29) so I give GOD the praise for keeping us alive.

Friend, you are not alive today by mistake! God kept you and is still keeping you alive not just for the sake of it but for a reason. I pray for you that you discover that reason for your life and pursue it and fulfill it in the name of the Lord Jesus.

May the Lord keep you and preserve you, and hide you in His secret place where no weapon of the enemy can ever find you. Amen.

My New Year Prayer for You

Dear friend,

Congratulations for making it into 2017!

If you think Yahweh was faithful and merciful to you throughout 2016, I want to assure you that He is ready to show you even more of His faithfulness, goodness, mercy, blessings  and power this year 2017.

Your skeptics and even enemies will join you give glory and praise to Jehovah God Almighty this year. Hold on to Him, don’t change your confession. He will satisfy you early and your year will be filled with gladness  throughout this year.

It is well with your soul, your marriage, your finances, your career, your ministry and anything connected to you.

Remember and be diligent in all that you do. His favour and blessings will clothe your efforts.

May all these blessings actualize in your life. May it be so for you in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ. Amen.
