Do you believe everything God says?
Do you believe and therefore bang your hope on all of the scriptures.
Does God tell small lies at times and at other times He tells the truth?
Are some scriptures true and others not true?
Jesus Christ did not say sometime times I am the way, sometimes I am the truth, and sometimes I am the life, He says “I am the way, and the truth, and the life…John 14:6.
When we trust all of God’s promises to us, even if they do not appeal to commonsense and science, and therefore do not attract popular applause, we judge God faithful. Conversely, selective faith is an insult to God as it calls God unfaithful.
Are you waiting for God’s ways and promises to meet the standards of popular sense before you believe? Then you would have missed Abraham’s type of great destiny if God promised you like He did promise Abraham and Sarah.
At age 75 God commanded Abraham out of his comfort zone; from his father’s house and kindred to a land that God would appoint? At age 75? By common sense approach, is this a wise move? That Sarah would give birth from her own dying and shrinking womb at age 90? Will the gynecologists agree? They would have stopped her at age 45! That Abraham himself at 100 years can still naturally demonstrate the energy through one full round and fertilize her wife Sarah’s eggs; without artificial insemination? What will my doctor say today?
“Through faith also Sara herself received strength to conceive seed, and was delivered of a child when she was past age, because she judged him faithful who had promised” (Hebrews 11:11).
Through faith, though at 100, Abraham impregnated his wife who was 90.
Through faith they truly became the father of many nations. By their faith, they obtained all the promises of God.
Do you practice wholesale or selective faith? ie believe God on wholesale basis or you pick and choose to believe those promises that make sense to your little mind?
Whether your faith is wholesale or selective determines how much of God’s plan and promises become realities in your life; it determines what God can do in your life; for, God deals with us according to our faith. “… According to your faith be it unto you. (Matthew 9:29)
May you throw away selective faith from today and cease from approaching God by common sense, let it be by faith, wholesale faith. May the Lord give you the grace to deal with Him by wholesale faith Amen!
